Physiotherapy with PMF

Physiotherapy with PMF – pulsed magnetic field is a method long established in veterinary medicine. It is available in both clinics and we already have excellent experience with its effect.

How does it work?

The device works by means of a specific therapeutic magnetic field and different frequencies and times can be selected according to the problems treated.

When is it applied?

There are four areas of application:

• For pain relief - used during operative interventions, both on bones and soft tissues, as a supplement to standard pain-relieving therapy;
• To relieve pain as a long-term application - when we treat animals with trauma of various origins, to reduce swelling of soft tissues; after removal of massive tumors to relieve pain and speed up healing
• For the treatment of new or old injuries - healing is accelerated, blood circulation in the affected area is improved
• For sports therapy - for muscle toning

In orthopedics – this is the most common application of pulse magnetotherapy. It has a major role in speeding up the healing of both recent and old fractures (broken bones). It is used during surgery, as well as daily from 1 to 2 times a day in different modes – most often we apply an analgesic mode first and then a mode that accelerates bone healing;

In the treatment of diseases of the spine and especially those affecting the intervertebral discs - it has a strong analgesic effect and significantly accelerates recovery after injuries/diseases of the vertebrae and intervertebral discs;

Method of administration, frequency and duration are determined individually - according to the disease and according to the speed of recovery. The device is a small cushion that is placed under or over the patient's treated area. There are no uncomfortable sensations, a slight vibration can be felt, which is not unpleasant for the animals.
