Dr. Milen Kostadinov

Founder, manager and chief physician at Novet Clinics.

Dr. Kostadinov completed his secondary education at the Geo Milev English High School in his hometown of Ruse. He graduated as a veterinarian in 1996 in the city of Stara Zagora - Thrace University - Veterinary Medicine. He completed an 18-month post-graduate internship at a small animal hospital in the US — South Trail Animal Hospital, Fort Myers, Florida, 1996–1998. He has participated in numerous congresses, seminars and trainings in all areas of veterinary medicine. There are several practical specializations in different clinics in the USA and Slovenia.

Dr. Kostadinov is one of the founders of the Bulgarian Association of Small Animal Veterinarians (BAVLDH) and the Bulgarian Association of Veterinary Cardiologists (BAVK). He is a member of the Bulgarian Parasitological Society.

Of particular interest and specialization for him are the fields of soft tissue surgery, reconstructive surgery and onco-surgery, cardiology, parasitology, and in particular the disease Dirofilariasis (heart filariasis). In the study of this disease, Dr. Kostadinov has his own contribution - several large-scale field studies proving the presence of dirofilariasis in Bulgaria, lectures at international and Bulgarian congresses, including First Dirofilaria Days, Zagreb, Croatia 2009 and AMVAC ROSAVA, Sinaia Romania 2014, as well as conducted a number of trainings for veterinarians in Bulgaria, the last ones in Sofia and Varna on February 23 and 25, 2016 - «Heartworm for beginners and advanced».

Favorite saying: «Primum non nocere», translated from Latin «First of all, do no harm». His interest in parasitology has led to the firm belief that by taking care of the health of animals, we also take care of the health of people.

When not at work, a favorite pastime is being in nature and walking the dogs Stanka and Lori (Mozzarella). Stanka was adopted by the builders of our new clinic. Lori is in foster care.

He speaks English and Russian.
