Dr. Nadezhda Kostadinova

She completed her secondary education at the «Ivan Vazov» Language High School in her hometown of Smolyan with German. She graduated as a veterinarian in 1996 at the University of Trakia - Stara Zagora, majoring in Veterinary Medicine. She completed an 18-month post-graduate internship at a small animal hospital in the USA - South Trail Animal Hospital, Fort Myers, Florida, after which she and Dr. Kostadinov founded Novet Clinic. She completed a distance learning course at Lincoln Veterinary University, England on small animal behavior and pheromone therapy (2010). There are numerous participations and trainings in international and local veterinary organizations, practical training in a clinic in Stuttgart.

Dr. Kostadinova has special interests in the fields of exotic animals, animal behavior, feline medicine, and veterinary practice management. Extremely dedicated in her work with patients - small and large, feathered, hairy and scaly - everyone becomes her favorite. In addition to working directly with patients, she is also involved in organizational work and practice management. She is a member of the Association of exotic mammal veterinarians as well as many international professional forums in which she is an active participant.

Why she loves her job: «Veterinary medicine is extremely challenging — you should never stop learning new things in medicine and developing as a specialist. You must always be able to find the right approach to each patient and even more so to their owners. In the successfully resolved cases, in the happy wagging tails, purrs and grateful eyes, I find the fascination of the profession. Contact with all living beings is particularly energizing for me.»

She spends her free time with her two daughters and pets — cats Murrow, Thomas and Callie, and dog Lori (Mozzarella). She speaks English and German.
